Definitely some wise words in here. My partner is an artist and tends to suffer from comparing herself to others from time to time and also imposter syndrome. Always gotta ground her and support her with "draw what you want to see and you'll have a fanbase" and similar advice. I copy/pasted that paragraph about your style, Jeff and she loved it.
As I said before, I love these substack From the Vault posts the most. I’m a fan but I haven’t read everything you have created. Mostly just black hammer and descender. So I’m looking forward to reading Sweet Tooth now. It’s great that is was your breakthrough hit at DC/Vertigo and was optioned and produced a TV show (I will have to watch this too, after I read the books). Glad you all proved those executives wrong. I love the content of your substack but these history reflections are the best, in my book. Thanks!
True. I’ve read the Lost Dogs and Essex County a long time ago. I should reread those. I have been reading the new stuff like little monsters. I have The whole Royal City series of floppies but I haven’t dived into them all yet. Yep, I got to read the cartoonist Jeff more. Thanks!
Royal City is my personal favorite. Sweet Tooth is epic and something I think everyone should read! Also check out Underwater Welder. I’ve never read Lost Dogs though!
Hey, Jeff! Thanks for sharing. I re-read it recently and I loved once again. Speaking of which, weren't we going to get a drop in the store of some signed Sweet Tooths? I hope I didn't miss it! Cheers!

"I’m very proud of it, and still think the ending of the series is one of the best things I’ve done."
As you should be. It's a masterpiece, the best final issue of any comic I've ever read. Getting goosebumps and teary eyed just thinking about it.
Will you be talking about Sweet Tooth The Return in future installments? I’m very interested in how that came about

Oh man you gotta read the stuff that he writes and draws. Some of his best work for sure!

I did also read A.D., which I liked a lot.
This was wonderful. It’s a real treat to see those first Sweet Tooth drawings. 🙏
