Hello Farmhands!
So, this Substack has been going on for one year now! Yet, it seems like only a couple of months ago that I was busy writing all the initial posts and prepping the comics that would appear here over the last 12 months.
In that time, we have published four oversized chapters of my book, FISHFLIES, as well as the original graphic novel, THE LAST DAYS OF BLACK HAMMER with collaborator Stefano Simeone, and the trippy anthology COLONEL WEIRD & LITTLE ANDROMEDA by Tate Brombal, Ray Fawkes and an all-star roster of artists.
I’ve also published a number of “From The Vault” installments, my ongoing, chronological deep-dive into each book of my career, and dozens of other behind-the-scenes looks and exclusives.
So, all that brings up the obvious question of WHAT’S NEXT for this Substack? After much consideration and thought, I have decided to scale back the scope of this platform moving forward.
What does this mean?
It means I won’t be publishing any new comics here in the foreseeable future. I loved serializing new stuff here, but given my other commitments and increasingly demanding schedule, I just can’t keep it up at this time. In addition, my other comics work and adapting my work to film and television need more and more of my attention.
So, starting September 1, 2022, Tales From The Farm will become a completely FREE platform. Of course, I will continue to share my ongoing “From The Vault” installments, as well as other behind-the-scenes material and teasers of upcoming work, but all these posts will now be FREE to everyone.
The frequency of my posts here will likely decrease in the immediate future as I am busy on the set of the Essex County TV SHOW until October. But I will try to keep up with new posts as much as possible.
For those of you who have paid for a monthly or annual subscription beyond September, I will suspend your payments, and you will be able to continue to follow this Substack for free moving forward.
Speaking of paid Subs. I know I promised all our annual Farmhands that their sign-up incentives would be fulfilled by the anniversary of my launching Tales from the Farm, and clearly, that won’t be the case. I apologize; the Essex County production has taken over my life, and I will need a few extra months to get these to you all. But, rest assured, all who are to receive incentives will still get them. My team at Substack has all your info and will be emailing you to confirm addresses one last time before they roll out. I appreciate your understanding and patience in this matter.
I want to sincerely thank all my paid subscribers for the last year. Your contributions made the comics I published here possible. And your support has been amazing.
Jeff
Add me to the list of people charged $75 for another year. Looking forward to getting this sorted out. Thanks.
I was also charged. No bueno.
