As Summer arrives I thought it would be a good time to take a look around the farm at my various projects and give you all some updates and news on everything I’m working on. Let’s start with 10,000 Ink Stains my upcoming memoir…
10 000 INK STAINS
10,000 Ink Stains comes out July 7, and I will be at San Diego Comicon to sign and celebrate it’s release. I’m so proud of this book. In many way it’s the most personal thing I’ve ever published, opening up my sketchbooks, and my life, and giving insight into the creation of all of my books from across the last 25-years.
I’ve been doing a lot of press for the book lately and a number of new podcast interviews will start popping up. The first was a great conversation I had with The Oblivion Bar Podcast…

ABSOLUTE FLASH!
The response to Absolute Flash continues to be overwhelming. My collaborators, Nick Robles, Tom Napolitano and Adriano Lucas and I are so grateful to all the readers and retailers who have embraced this new version of Wally West.
Some people have asked about the fate of Barry Allen and, while I don’t want to spoil anything that’s coming, I will say that Barry’s role in the book may not be as finite as it originally seemed. Here, for the first time, is Nick’s cover to Issue 8!
I’m currently working on the script for Issue 12, and making plans for what the second year of the book will look like.
MINOR ARCANA
I just did a big Minor Arcana update last week, so there’s not much new to add yet, so I thought I’d just share some inks I did last week for Issue 12…
One note…all of the TAROT COVERS that I’ve done so far for Minor Arcana are now FOR SALE over at my art dealer Comic-Con Art! Get while you can!
ROBIN AND BATMAN II and NEW MYSTERY PROJECT #1!
My latest collaboration with Dustin Nguyen, our sequel to Robin and Batman, launched this month fro DC Comics and Dustin just finished up art on the final issue. He and I both realized that Descender launched in 2016 and next year will mark a decade of us working together!
Image will be releasing a facsimile edition of Descender #1 next year to celebrate, and Dustin and I have begun work on our next major creator-owned project for Image.
Can’t say too much about this new series yet, but it will be an ongoing book for Image that combines sci-fi, dark fantasy, and westerns into something pretty wild. It’s a big leap for Dustin and I, but we think it could be our best yet.
This new book will likely launch in the first half of 2026, so look for an announcement this Fall.

Jeff (and Dustin) you guys are working too hard as the 10th anniversary of Descender is this year, not in 2026 since it debuted in March 2015. I recall that launch quite well, it came out the day before Emerald City Comic-Con 2015 here in Seattle. You and Dustin were there signing copies, including the various exclusive variants sold at the con, and had a really cool limited edition print for sale that I believe was limited to 500 pieces. So congrats on 10 years, seems like yesterday, time goes by so fast, even faster the older we get.
