I'm planning on going to a comic shop this weekend and hopefully I'll be able to buy Minor Arcana and Absolute Flash there. I thought Minor Arcana was a short series like Fishflies? Do you have an idea of the number of issues it'll go on for?
Very much like Sweet Tooth then like you said. 40+ issues mostly drawn by yourself. I really like your longer stories. Royal City and Sweet Tooth were really good. Out of curiosity, are you still making the Royal City sequel series and if so how far along are you?
How many issues do you think Phantom Road will be? I enjoy long form series with no end in sight. 75, 90, 100+ issues the better. I'm also looking forward to the return of the Bone Orchard Mythos books.
I'm not an artist, or at least I don't fancy myself one, but when I dabble I never give myself the same leeway I do with my writing. I know my fiction will go through a number of drafts, usually changing entirely from what it started as.
I'm never as forgiving with myself in drawing. I get frustrated I'm not making the progress I want and stop for long periods of time.
Thanks for sharing this. It's a good reminder that it's all part of the process.
Yes, big lesson for me as well. Having fun first is the secret I think, I try to remind myself to draw comics for me first. Jeff Lemire inspires me a lot.
Well, I hope the inspiration isn’t too obvious lol, because I’ve eaten a lot of stuff other Lemire, it’d be too bad if my style is a copy pasta of his :)
Thank you, you reassure me :) btw it’s possible that I make a zine with some short stories of my own, including this French story. And if I do I’ll be doing it in English, so you’ll probably get to read the translated version :)
Stop butchering Scandal Savage
Thanks for sharing, Jeff! I enjoy this peek behind the curtain. I'm a process nerd.
Cool! Have been enjoying it!
Thank you for the behind the scenes! Love seeing that stuff

Minor Arcana is an ongoing series. At least 40 issues.

Still working on it. Slowly but surely. 4 out of 6 issues done
I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

I just checked out the page you shared and I see the inspiration! Good stuff.
My high school French isn't good enough to translate it though. 😅

Thank you though !
Not at all! You've clearly got a style all your own.

Awesome stuff
My copy of volume 1 is still on its way. Can’t wait
