Really enjoyed that first issue after picking up the FCBD sample. Working on my own project, also rural in setting, so it's nice to see how someone else is doing it.

Boy, does it feel good to see a Lemire Substack email in my inbox! Can’t wait to see Fishflies in its final form and for the eventual hardcover.

You may have answered this once before, but will Fishflies be connected or be a gateway to the new Royal City books?

No. Totally separate worlds and stories.

Really looking forward to reading this! Now I've got to read Essex County before the show comes out.

Thank for the info on this. I have read the draft volumes and I Ioved them . I am monitoring the fish flies digital release at Amazon Brazil.

Sadly, I haven't seen anyone publishing your works down here ( well, I got them all already ) in the past year, so likely only DC or Marvel works will eventually make it here in the future . This is not really so bad because of digital comics thank God. Hopefully I will be able to see The Essex County in one of the major streaming services. I was very disappointed with the second season of Sweet Tooth, maybe because I loved Season 1 very much.

But congrats to this new show, I cannot wait to watch it.

Are the Fishflies ashcans still being sent to the original subscribers?

Great backstory! Rural crime is an underexplored genre (Kindt and Jenkins’ GRASS KINGS comes to mind).

I can’t wait for the physical format of this book. It sounds like the After Death publishing format (which was gorgeous!)
