That must have been a hell of a train trip. A really inspiring story, it always helps keep me going when I see big creators who had to go through having a regular job while chasing a dream.
Thinking about how you felt waiting on that train after getting that grant filled me with joy...without that moment the world might have been robbed of your talent and work. I love Lost Dogs too :-)
Also I love hearing about that validation and i can relate! I am currently working on a store exclusive variant for Primordial - I’m so nervous but i hope you get to see it!
Looking forward to this week's instalment! I've always loved using genre elements in my stories, but reading your work and these behind the scenes insights have really helped me access my characters in a more honest way. Thank you for such interesting work.
This was my favorite installment so far, thanks for the story. I’ve got a copy of that Ashtray Press edition of Lost Dogs and it’s quite a beautiful package still
The build up to your success at the end of this post is so wonderful. Makes me happy just reliving it with you all here. Thanks.

I have the 2011 Top Shelf edition as an e-comic, and I don't think I ever got around to reading it. This week for sure!
Mazzucchelli's Asterios Polyp is one of my all time favourites! I loved this entry, thank you for sharing.
Love it! Thanks for sharing ❤️
These sorts of fascinating retrospective posts are exactly why I subscribed. Thank you for sharing!
I love these From the Vault posts so much. As a writer, these behind the scenes looks at your journey have been super motivating. Thank you!
Really glad you are enjoying them. The next instalment drops next week.

Really loving these From The Vault entries. It's fun to see the influences like Mazzuchelli and Lutes. Big Man is on my "to read" list now!
Thank you again Jeff for this awesome ride! I love these posts so much!
I still can't believe that there hasn't been a reprint of the content in Rubber Blanket.
Big man is one of my favourite pieces of all time.
