So what do I do after Essex County? I had spent every hour of my waking life from about 1999 to the publication of Essex County in 2006 dreaming of “making it” in comics.
I first read The Nobody at the Library in London Ontario when I first moved there. I was unemployed and had free time and found myself getting back into comics. The library was a good source of comics when I had a very strict budget.
I have been looking in vain for an affordable copy of The Nobody for years! So first, thanks for sharing an e-version. And second, I'd love for you to revise this book to make it what you want it to be...I'd sure buy a copy.
The Nobody was the first work I read by you, I think in part due to the now long defunct Vertigo creator forum Standard Attrition. I absolutely loved it and still remember getting it signed at Fan Expo around when the complete Essex County had come out. I was very apologetic because I already had everything at your booth and was thus not able to buy anything but you were incredibly gracious. It was a lot of what cemented me as a fan and I still think back on it fondly.
I randomly found a copy at a book store in NYC a few years ago and had never heard of it prior. Dove right in on the train home, and it’s honestly been one of my favorite of your works since.
Were you going to talk about Soft Instruments at all? I feel like that started before The Nobody?

I’m sure it’s interesting for you to hear what works of yours fans consider their favorites. Mine is Underwater Welder.
I realized I didn't have a digital version of this ( I have most of Lemire's work in digital ) neither a real world copy. So I have just ordered it.
