I’ve always admired your art like it’s gorgeous and JSA would fit right next to any modern super hero book but it’s also instantly recognizable and inimitable. In that way it reminds me of Niko Henrichon’s work. I’m sure you’re extremely busy working on soooo many (6? More?!) books right now but I have to ask you something I CANNOT FIND THE ANSWER TO. I loved the sweet tooth adaptation I was apprehensive as I’m such an enormous fan of that era of Vertigo but that book in particular but I found it was just enough of a reinvention to suit the medium while maintaining what made it such a special touching story. In the last season is the bat kid hybrid’s cape paying homage to Lester from Essex county? Because the shots of him on the roof wearing the cape and mask look like they were pulled directly from one of your (self drawn) books
Oh, heck yes! That JSA news is the most exciting thing single thing I’ve heard out of SDCC. And seeing the multigenerational team on the cover has me feeling very happy. I’m so looking forward to learning more!

(Personally, I want you to write Animal Man again. After all, no one but you and Morrison seem to be able to express his limitless potential. Or, how about an absolute version?)

Yes. That was a nod to Essex County from Jim Mickle, the director/showrunner.

You will have to wait to find out if Barry and Jay factor into this new universe at all. Sorry, this is one of the bigger surprises of the series :)
